Position Overview:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate (Lead Experience Preferred) is responsible for handling all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are shipped and received in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading or training team members in a warehouse or shipping environment is highly valued.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders

  • Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments for FedEx, UPS, and USPS

  • Schedule pickups and generate shipping labels using carrier systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, USPS Click-N-Ship, etc.)

  • Organize and maintain inventory areas and warehouse space efficiently

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

  • Maintain accurate records in inventory and shipping software systems

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or defects

  • Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and customer service teams

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified)

  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed

  • Assist in training new shipping/receiving staff and enforcing best practices

  • Take initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role (manufacturing preferred)

  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role in shipping/receiving is a strong plus

  • Experience with FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping systems required

  • Inventory control experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Basic computer skills and comfort using shipping and inventory software

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Forklift certification a plus

    $18 – $24 DOE
