Position Overview:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate (Lead Experience Preferred) is responsible for handling all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are shipped and received in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading or training team members in a warehouse or shipping environment is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders

Package, label, and prepare outbound shipments for FedEx, UPS, and USPS

Schedule pickups and generate shipping labels using carrier systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, USPS Click-N-Ship, etc.)

Organize and maintain inventory areas and warehouse space efficiently

Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

Maintain accurate records in inventory and shipping software systems

Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or defects

Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and customer service teams

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified)

Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed

Assist in training new shipping/receiving staff and enforcing best practices

Take initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements
Qualifications:
-
1–3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role (manufacturing preferred)

Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role in shipping/receiving is a strong plus

Experience with FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping systems required

Inventory control experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

Basic computer skills and comfort using shipping and inventory software

High school diploma or equivalent

Forklift certification a plus
