Summary
• The Composite Assembly Technician level 3 provides hands-on labor for support of composite assembly / final assembly for Tier 1 aerospace companies and military programs. Requires attention to detail, focus on quality and excellent people skills in a team environment.
• Reports to the Department Supervisor

Position Responsibilities Include:
• Perform assembly operations per drawing requirements and shop travelers
• Experience with all common hand tools and machines associated with composite assembly
• Perform trim, drill, countersink, and counterbore operations on composite parts using supplied tooling
• Perform trim, drill, countersink, and counterbore operations where no tooling exists.
• Able to layout trim and drill locations to drawing requirements
• Able to work from mylars
• Cut and shape honeycomb core to drawing, mylar requirements
• Able to mix resins, adhesives, potting compounds
• Check expiration dates of materials prior to use, prepare proper mixes of resins and catalysts
• Perform bonding operations with supplied tooling
• Perform setup for bonding operations when no tooling exists
• Perform riveting operations in composite details
• Install potted inserts
• Responsible for new product development
• Responsible for training and supporting level 1 and 2 techs
• Responsible for meeting schedule objectives set by lead and supervisor
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product. Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions
• Maintain work areas in a safe, clean and organized fashion
