Pathway Group is a boutique staffing firm who has partnered with a privately held Aerospace Manufacturing company. Specializing in sheet metal fabrication and assemblies. This client supplies tens of thousands of aerospace components for commercial jetliners, defense, space and security systems.

TEMP-TO-HIRE/ MUST HAVE CMM EXPERIENCE

7:30am-4:00pm Monday – Friday

Pay Rate: $40/Hour

This role requires proficiency in using specific software, such as PC-DMIS, and familiarity with Brown and Sharp machines.

Location: Signal Hill, California

Responsibilities:
– Program and operate Brown and Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision components and assemblies.
– Develop CMM programs using PC-DMIS software based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
– Conduct dimensional inspections of machined parts, sheet metal components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
– Set up CMM fixtures, probes, and tooling for accurate and repeatable measurements.
– Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections according to inspection plans and quality control procedures.
– Analyze CMM measurement data, interpret inspection results, and generate detailed inspection reports.
– Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve quality issues and process improvements.
– Maintain CMM equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks.
– Adhere to safety protocols and quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) in all CMM operations.

Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in engineering or related field preferred.
– Proven experience programming and operating Brown and Sharpe CMM machines.
– Proficiency in PC-DMIS software for CMM programming and data analysis.
– Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
– Excellent knowledge of measurement techniques, metrology, and inspection methodologies.
– Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
– Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100).
– Prior experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
