Position summary:
Provides a variety of Human Resources services, handling highly confidential material, and completes special assignments and projects as required.
 
Essential Functions:

  • Explains Company policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or applicants
  • Assists with employee relations such as conducting investigations, documenting incidents, informing key stakeholders of findings, holding follow up meetings with employees, and recommending actions to close out the matter(s)
  • Enters personnel changes in HRIS
  • Produces reports from HRIS
  • Processes benefit changes
  • Assists in recruiting and onboarding, including new hire orientation and documentation
  • Ensures adequate supply of personnel forms, office and coffee supplies
  • Receives and sorts mail for respective department leaders
  • Updates organizational chart and employee photo directory
  • Assists employees in ordering service anniversary awards
  • Assists in planning and attending employee engagement events
  • Supports customer visits with catering orders and meeting set ups
  • Helps maintain electronic and physical personnel files
  • Responds to EDD mail for disability and unemployment insurance benefits
  • Collects, reviews, and files training rosters to ensure full completion and record-keeping
  • Performs additional duties as required
 
Role Qualifications:
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements: Basic understanding of Human Resources principles, including benefits and wage/hour law.   Detail oriented, able to evaluate and solve problems, patient, relates well to diverse individuals at all levels of the organization.  Good oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
   
Education and Experience: Two years of Human Resources experience
