**JOB TITLE:** Conversion Machine Operator (3rd shift)

 

**JOB SUMMARY**
 
Join our client's team as a Conversion Machine Operator on the 3rd shift, where you will play a crucial role in operating a variety of equipment and ensuring the production of high-quality materials. This position involves working with multiple machines and processes, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals. **SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES**
 
– Operate various equipment including sample preparation, extruders, unfolders, slitters, hose manufacturing, release agent preparations, perforators, bag machines, reprocessing units, sealing equipment, and sewn constructions.
 
– Package rolls as produced on the machine per work order instructions, including obtaining and gauging samples, and printing labels for finished products.
 
– Check operating controls and safety stops on equipment prior to operation.
 
– Monitor material quality for defects and notify team members.
 
– Assist team members in performing machine set-ups according to company procedures for work orders.
 
– Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
 
– Wear a respirator to perform machine purging.
 
– Understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
 
– Maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
 
– Notify the supervisor of any potential safety hazards.
 
– Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

**GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS**

 

**Education:**
 
– High school diploma or equivalent.

 

**Experience:**
 
– At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
 
– Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

 

**Skills:**
 
– Proficiency in operating various types of machinery.
 
– Ability to monitor material quality and identify defects.
 
– Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
 
– Effective communication skills for both oral and written instructions.
 
– Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

 

**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
 
– Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
 
– Familiarity with machine set-ups and maintenance.
 
– Knowledge of safety and quality control standards.

 

**Other:**
 
– Must be able to work the 3rd shift (11pm to 7:30am).
 
– Ability to wear a respirator as required.
