**SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES**
Â
– Operate various equipment including sample preparation, extruders, unfolders, slitters, hose manufacturing, release agent preparations, perforators, bag machines, reprocessing units, sealing equipment, and sewn constructions.
Â
– Package rolls as produced on the machine per work order instructions, including obtaining and gauging samples, and printing labels for finished products.
Â
– Check operating controls and safety stops on equipment prior to operation.
Â
– Monitor material quality for defects and notify team members.
Â
– Assist team members in performing machine set-ups according to company procedures for work orders.
Â
– Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
Â
– Wear a respirator to perform machine purging.
Â
– Understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
Â
– Maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Â
– Notify the supervisor of any potential safety hazards.
Â
– Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Â
**GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS**
Â
**Education:**
Â
– High school diploma or equivalent.
Â
**Experience:**
Â
– At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator.
Â
– Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Â
**Skills:**
Â
– Proficiency in operating various types of machinery.
Â
– Ability to monitor material quality and identify defects.
Â
– Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Â
– Effective communication skills for both oral and written instructions.
Â
– Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Â
**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
Â
– Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Â
– Familiarity with machine set-ups and maintenance.

– Knowledge of safety and quality control standards.

**Other:**

– Must be able to work the 3rd shift (11pm to 7:30am).

– Ability to wear a respirator as required.
