Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Shop Lead to optimize workflow, support prototyping, and foster a positive work environment. This role is based at our client’s location in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:
– Training and development of operators to ensure proper execution of defined processes and quality assurance
– Management and planning of production/workload on equipment in line with business priorities
– Monitoring and collaborating on Preventive Maintenance (PM) of equipment to minimize machine downtime
– Participation in daily GEMBA and shop-floor improvements to ensure lean manufacturing
– Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
– Planning alternative paths for jobs to be run on different machines as required
– Serving as a member of the company’s Safety Committee and working within the AS9100/ ISO 9001 Quality Management System
– Continuous improvement through resource optimization and productivity enhancement

Skills and Requirements:
– ITAR compliance
– Proficiency in machine programming for CNC lathes and related software such as PartMaker, Predator, MasterCAM
– Ability to influence, motivate, train, and lead operators
– Effective time management skills
– Manual dexterity to safely operate office equipment and machinery
– Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills are a plus
– Excellent written and spoken skills in English; Spanish communication skills are a plus
– Team-oriented with flexibility and adaptability

They will be relentless and passionate about continuous improvement, with demonstrated and consistent results. This role may require working overtime and occasional travel.
