JOB DIMENSIONS:

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, procures Engineering parts/materials and tracks progress through the procurement process;performs a variety of clerical duties; and performs related duties as assigned.

Reports to:

Configuration Management Supervisor

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates Customer Orders and Purchase Requisitions for Engineering and tracks progress of procurement;
  • Works with other departments in the organization to help procurement of Engineering parts;
  • Creates R&D part numbers and BOMs for use in procurement;
  • Helps maintain organization for Engineering part storage;
  • Creates initial Engineering projects;
  • Creates Inspection reports;
  • Directs incoming ECRs to appropriate Engineering supervisor;
  • Researches and compiles data to prepare Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests;
  • Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
  • Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:

Experience/Training/Education:

Associate of Arts degree (A.A) or Associates of Science degree (A.S.) in Business Administration or similar or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of engineering procedures, engineering release systems and product lines;
  • Familiarity of basic manufacturing and assembly methods, production control, inventory control, and purchasing functions;
  • Conceptual understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems;
    • Advanced/proficient computer skills;
    • Ability to read a blueprint;
    • Basic knowledge of marketing and sales practices and accounting methods;
    • Skilled in general office equipment operations;
    • Skilled in working with personal computer software application programs in Microsoft Office 365, and ERP software;
    • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, & coordinate work;
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and in writing;
    • Ability to work cooperatively with others;
    • Ability to read and interpret specifications and material orders; Ability to compile and maintain accurate records.

Payrate DOE:
$39K – $45K
