SHIPPING CLERK JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for providing support to the entire Logistics team. This role will package final product to customer specifications, create small pack shipments for spare orders, package and ship outside process parts, and load outbound trailers, by hand or forklift.
SHIPPING CLERK SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES – Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.) Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
• Load trucks with a forklift
• Move skids with a pallet jack
• Lifting, pulling, bending.
• Pack and ship packages via USPS, FedEx, DHL
• Process and schedule all shipments via LTL and FTL carriers
• Follow customer packaging requirements
• Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
• Scan BOL and take pictures of final packaged units
• Clean as you go responsibility to maintain a clean and orderly work area. Keep tools, materials, and equipment in the proper place
• Be flexible to work extra hours as needed
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics code
SHIPPING CLERK GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Associate Degree and/or Trade/Technical School is desired
Experience:
• 6 months – 1+ year of direct experience
• Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates
• Experience working in a team
Skills:
• Cycle counting
• Material handling
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Forklift experience
Other:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Extended or irregular hours may be required.
