Quality Control Technician – This position is a quality control technician and is located in the Quality Control Lab.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Tasks and Work Activities
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, samples, and finished goods.
- Interpret test results, compare them to referenced specifications to determine if fabric meets specifications, and report questionable test results to supervisor.
- Perform visual inspections of finished products.
- Knowledge of all necessary quality documentation including specification and job paperwork.
- Conduct standard textile testing including fabric weight, count, thickness, and tensile strength. Conduct specialized test as required by specification.
- Documenting/Recording Information – Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
- Communicating with Supervisors or Peers – Providing information to supervisors or co-workers by telephone in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge and Skills
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- English Language – Demonstrates oral and written comprehension and expression of the English language. Demonstrates reading comprehension with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words; rules of composition, and grammar.
- Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
- Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Active listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Work Environment/ Physical Requirements
- Indoors – This position is located in the Quality Control Lab. There is a requirement to walk through the production plant to inspect looms at various times throughout the day
- The typical work day is a combination of sitting and standing for different periods of time
- Employee must be able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Duration of a Typical Work Week- This position is a four (4) day work week consisting of ten
(10) hours per day.
